Vaishno Devi, also known as Mata Rani and Vaishnavi, is a manifestation of the Hindu Mother Goddess or Durga. Vaishno Devi Mandir is a very popular Hindu Temple dedicated to the Hindu Goddess , located at Trikuta Mountains within the indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. More than 10 million pilgrims visit this shrine every year.

Mata Vaishno Devi Temple : Mata Vaishno Devi is one of the holiest pilgrimage sites for Hindus, which is positioned at an elevation of 5200 ft in the Katra district. The shrine is a cave temple, dedicated to Godess Shakti in the form of three natural rock formations, called the Pindis that represent the three goddesses. These are Goddess Lakshmi, Goddess Kali and Goddess Saraswati and are positioned at a distance of 91 ft inside the cave.
Ardh Kuwari : Ardh Kuwari is a site of religious significance, popular for 15 feet long and narrow cave called Garbha Joon. It is 4,800 ft above sea level and is situated 4.5 km from Charan Paduka. Ardh Kuwari is a halfway point during the trek to the main shrine.
It is believed that Goddess Durga hid herself from Bhairav Nath for nine months in this cave. When Bhairav Nath entered the cave, the Goddess made a new opening with her trident.
Bhrirav Nath Temple : Bhairav Nath Temple is a located at a distance of 3 km from the holy cave. Dedicated to saint turned demon, Bhairav Nath, the temple is the last point of the pilgrimage.
Accoding to mythology, in the last breath Bhairav Nath repented for his unholy acts and for the same Goddess forgave him. The shrine of Bhairav Nath is situated atop a hill, which is approachable from Ardh Kumari.
